Palm Pre features that could change the game

May 13th, 2009 | No Comments | Posted in General News

The Palm Pre could be a game-changer as it goes face-to-face with phones like the iPhone and the HTC’s and the BlackBerries.
The Palm Pre’s official launch date is as yet unconfirmed, and from what we can see has some features that will strike fear into the hearts of the average smartphone. Here are a fewfeatures that stand out way above the rest:

Palm Pre Wireless Charger
The Palm Pre is the first phone that juices up using wireless charger. The charging happens with magnetic induction, and at just under $70 the charger is well-prices and a cool item to show off.

Perfect Form Factor
Those fortunate souls who have had demo Pre’s in their hands say it fits perfectly in their hands thanks to the smooth, round edges. Phones like those from HTC are generally pretty edge and aren’t all that comfortable to hold, perhaps Palm caught onto that.

CPU muscle
The Palm Pre’s Web browser is faster in comparison to the BlackBerry and iPhone 3G browsers, and the phone can run multiple apps simultaneously while users have the ability to switch between running apps by swiping their finger across the touchscreen.

Integrated Adobe Flash
Version 9 of Adobe’s Flash software will be integrated into the Pre, making for a much more complete browsing experience.

Great Camera Ability
The specs of the Pre’s camera are very satisfactory, and the camera itself takes impressive images. It probably won’t match SonyEricsson’s quality but it’s a good attempt, soon we can all leave our digital cameras at home.
